EA Has No Favorites in the Next Generation

Over the last few months’ gamers have been given insight into game releases at the launch of the next generation. A number of these operate are exclusive as companies vie for players to accept their console as “the” console.

A number of games for the Xbox One, that will operate exclusively, have been developed and published by EA; a company that up until recently has lost some users based on the mechanics and customer support provided through some of their games. However, EA is still pushing forward and has provided glimpses into their next generation content.

Until this point, followers of the competition have seen that EA has announced a number of exclusives for the Xbox One, but overall has been silent in regards to exclusive content on the PS4. However, today, the EA Labels President, Frank Gibeau, announced that they will maintain their “policy about being platform-agnostic.” He claims that they are not leaning one way or the other and that a deal struck between two companies does not necessarily mean favoritism.

Although there have been no official announcements yet, Gibeau stated that there is still the potential for exclusivity deals between EA and Sony in the future. He goes on to say he “hopes to see both consoles succeed in the future.”

Does this mean there is going to be some news regarding Sony exclusives (which to this point has been pretty quiet)? Maybe not. But stay tuned for more announcements as they come.
