EA Announced PNC Arena Will Host Apex Legends Global Series Year 2

Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that the PNC arena will be hosting the 2022 Apex Legends Global Series Year 2 championship(ALGS) which is a video game competition. EA is known for games like Sims, BattleField 4, FIFA, etc. The PNC Arena is located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The championship will be on July 7-10. As stated on EA.com this will be the first time that the Apex Legends Global Series Year 2 championship will have a live audience. This ALGS should be the largest competition in its history.

Last month EA hosted another competition which was ALGS split 2 playoffs in Stockholm, Sweden which had a big turnout. According to esportsinsiderALGS split 2 playoffs broke viewership records from other EA competitions.

ALGS will have teams from all over the world competing against each other for the chance to get the $2,000,000 cash prize and the title of ALGS year 2 champion. It is possible to watch the ALGS championship on Youtube and Twitch.

On the first day of the competition, each team will be split into teams of four, and according to EA, each team will play six matches one after another. On July 8 after each team has played each other and the group stage has ended every team will be given the assigned order in which they will go in the bracket double-elimination round. The top 20 teams will make it to the last round of the competition. The finals will take place on July 10 where the winner will be named and given the title of  ALGS year 2 champion.

The tickets are up for sale now on Ticketmaster. The tickets start at $15 and will go up depending on how many days, and admission type.
