Indie studio Polytron has announced that Fez 2 is in development. Polytron announced the game at the end of the Horizon Indie Game Conference at E3. No specific details were released, but Polytron did post a short teaser trailer on their website. The original Fez is 2D platform/puzzle game released on the Xbox 360 in 2012. The game allows players to shift their perspective by 90 degrees to get through various levels. As of April, the game as sold over 200,000 units. Fez’s five year development cycle was also a central plot point for the 2012 documentary, Indie Game: The Movie, in which developer Phil Fish kept delaying the actual release of the game to polish, re-polish, tune, re-start, etc. the title.
