Looks like we need to start preparing to survive even sooner than we thought! Techland announced on Twitter today, that their highly-anticipated action survival horror game, Dying Light, is bringing the infected to us sooner than they thought for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3 on January 27th for North America, January 28th in Australia and New Zealand, and January 30th in Europe and Asia.
You can get a free DLC mode when you pre-order your copy of Dying Light, which the mode is called Be the Zombie. In a PvP mode, players will be able to take on the role of the Night Hunter, which will allow you to invade other players’ games. Night Hunter is the ultimate zombie who has a unique set of skills that will just lead you to death if you don’t watch out. Become a fast, agile and dangerous predator during the night, and hunt down any human survivors that come into your path!
In Dying Light, players will experience a first-person action survival horror game that is set in a vast and dangerous open world, which you are free to survive the way you want, whether that be “Going through zombies, going above zombies, going around zombies – Dying Light, do it your way.” Players will get to roam during the day, as they try to scavenge for supplies and craft weapons that will help fight the massive hordes of mindless, flesh eating enemies that the plague created. Though at night, players better watch out because they aren’t the predator anymore, instead you will be needing to survive, because you will become the prey in this infected open world, where they grow and get even more aggressive, especially those who leave their hives in order to feed. Are you prepared to use everything possible and scavenge for anything possible in order to survive, no matter what?!
Recently, Dying Light had released their first Dev Diary video, which explains the Natural Movement system in the game. “Designed internally by Techland, Natural Movement empowers the player to traverse the fictional city of Harran with unprecedented ease and precision, seamlessly connecting parkour-style moves with brutal fighting.”
Here is the first Dev Diary video, just in case you missed it:
