Techland, developer and producer of the new and massively popular zombie survival game Dying Light, teamed up with Flying Carpet Studio to recreate the dilapidated world in a live-action short film. The flick is titled “The Last Supply Drop” and was published to the official Dying Light YouTube channel this past weekend.
The duo set out on this project to see just how much of Dying Light could actually be recreated in film. The result was a cinematic experience that tells the story of four quarantine survivors and their last-ditch attempt to recover an air-drop full of crucial supplies. Techland and Flying Carpet Studio not only bring the zombies to life in this film but also showcase key Dying Light gameplay features like parkour movement, car traps, and the fan-favorite dropkick attacks.
Dying Light is currently available digitally worldwide for PC, Xbox and PS4 through Steam, Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop. Box copies are available in North and South America; physical release in Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania is set for February 27.
