Call of Duty: Modern Warfare‘s Warzone game mode has elevated the franchise back to a level of excitement that used to surround it in the Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops days. Are there still a lot of hackers? Yes. Are some games randomly plagued by lag? Also yes. And yet, it is so fun to play, that everyone seems to have fallen in love with it. With season four on the horizon, the hype around the game is at an all-time high, with big changes potentially coming to the game. Something that many fans have wanted for quite some time however has been duos, and Activision said it was coming eventually – most people assumed it would come with season four, but then: “Duos.”

One word, along with a picture of Alex and Ghost is enough to get most players excited. Finally, you will be able to drop into Warzone no matter how many friends you have online (unless you have more than four total people who want to play). The Warzone playlist now reads: BR Quads, BR Trios, BR Duos, BR Solos, and Plunder Quads, the hole in the playlist has very satisfyingly been filled.
There is no word on how long this playlist will last, but there is a high potential for change on June 3rd when season four begins. There have been rumors of new modes with 200 players as opposed to 150 or 152, or that potentially the game mode will always have a cap of 200 in the future, and there have been many rumored variations coming soon.
Duos, along with the return of Shoot House 24/7 and Shipment 24/7 in multiplayer should be a good incentive for players to come back to the game to finish leveling up their battle pass, or trying to reach level 155 before both resets on Tuesday night.
