Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Will Be Released In January, 2020

New information has been revealed about the upcoming third-person RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Gamespot interviewed Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot producer Ryosuka Hara who revealed several details for the game, including pre-order bonuses, the release date, and several playable characters. The RPG will be released in the middle of January 2020.

According to Gamespot, players who pre-order Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will get several pre-order bonuses. The first bonus that player will receive is early access to a feature known as Bonyu’s training. Bonyu is one of the new characters designed by the creator of the Dragon Ball series, Akira Toriyama. Ordinarily, players would only be able to encounter Bonyu during the Cell Arc, however, by pre-ordering the game, players will be able to fight Bonyu in a virtual training match during the Android Arc instead. Another bonus available to players who pre-ordered the game is a rather special meat whose full effects have yet to be revealed, as well as a unique side quest called “A Competitive Party With Friends”.

The game focuses on retelling the adventures of Goku during Dragon Ball Z and will allow gamers to play as Goku, Kid Gohan, Future Trunks, and many more as players progress through the game. The game itself will have multiple editions available for purchase, each with their own set of benefits. The Standard Edition just includes the game. The Collector’s Edition will include an 8x8x8 diorama, as well as a steelbook. The Deluxe Edition will grant players a special deluxe cooking item, and the Ultimate Edition will grant players a special ultimate cooking item, as well as a season pass, a music pack, and an in-game vehicle that Goku can drive. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be released on January 17, 2020 and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
