Dragon Ball is indisputably one of the most recognizable IPs in all of history, let alone of today. So it’s no surprise that it pumps out dozens of games in an effort to take advantage of its popularity, one of the most anticipated releases under the Dragon Ball banner in recent memory would be Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, set to release on October 11th of this year. As with all these 3D Dragon Ball games, roster choice is always a marketing point for Bandai Namco to trickle and generate hype leading to release, so sad for them that the entire roster has been leaked via Reddit.
Sad for Bandai Namco, but not sad for the players, who will be excited to see if their favorite Dragon Ball character made the roster or not. You’ll notice that the link above leads to a thread on Resetera (sorry for linking to them) instead of a Reddit thread, but the thread is more reliable in case the Reddit thread gets taken down.
As shown in said thread, Sparking! ZERO’s roster is stuffed full of all the iconic characters you’d expect from this game, including every form of Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks but also featuring movie exclusive characters like Cooler, Broly, Janemba, and Bojack. In fact, those characters have multiple forms that many people likely weren’t expecting such as Meta Cooler, Fat Janemba, and of course every form of Broly. Featured alongside the OVA characters are Dragon Ball GT characters like Omega Shenron and Baby, which are always a 50/50 on whether or not they feature in a new Dragon Ball game.
We highly recommend checking the thread out yourself and watching the video, as there are far too many characters to recount here, but if you watch for yourself maybe you’ll find your favorite featured in the select screen.
