Bandai Namco has recently announced the release date for their brand new highly awaited title Dragon Ball FighterZ, but the publisher had a lot of other news to share about the game. The game has received quite a bit of attention ever since it’s reveal at E3 2017. In addition to the launch date they also revealed an upcoming open beta for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, along with the first few details about the games DLC season pass.
After the game’s release players will have the choice of purchasing the season pass which will allow them access to eight new characters at “a discount price.” So far their are 18 confirmed characters that have been revealed for the game, however Bandai Namco hasn’t released any info on whom these new DLC characters might be, but they will come alongside their respective stamps, lobby avatars, and alternate colors.
The most recent characters to be revealed for the game were Nappa and Captain Ginyu, two old villains from the series. Dragon Ball FighterZ will release for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC for the US as well as Europe on January 26, 2018. Although Bandai Namco hasn’t given any details on the exact timing of the event Playstation 4 and Xbox One players who have or will preorder the digital version of the game wil get early access to the game’s beta. In addition to this preordering the game will also give the player early access to the characters Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta.
