There’s a Japanese indie game sale called the Doujin Bundle 2 going on at build-a-bundle website Groupee. The bundle features bullet hell shooters from a variety of game studios, as well as a visual novel and a pigeon dating simulator, all for a pay-what-you-want price.
The shooters on offer are the popular eXceed 2nd – Vampire REX and eXceed 3rd – Jade Penetrate Black Package from Tennen-Sozai, Hiranyon’s Hellsinker, Siter Skain’s KAMUI, and Astro Port’s ARMED SEVEN.
Fans of slower, more story-based games are also taken care of here with the visual novel Higurashi When They Cry. Last, but definitely not least (maybe even “last, but definitely the best”) is pigeon dating sim Hatoful Boyfriend. No, that’s not some weird dating sim term, you literally play as a pigeon. Attending pigeon academy. Trying to get the hottest pigeon to go out with you. If that alone doesn’t entice you to check out this bundle, probably nothing will because you’re hollow inside.
The games are all DRM-free and the two eXceed games include Steam keys. The price is pay-what-you-want, although it kinda technically isn’t because there’s a $1.50 minimum charge to cover server costs. With the rising cost of pigeon academy these days, though, that’s still a steal.
