Dollhouse Brings The Jump Scares In Late May

It seems to be the year of horror games as another is slated for a late May release, this time from Creazn Studio and SOEDESCO Publishing. Their noire story, Dollhouse, will tell a frightening tale as players take on the persona of Marie, a detective hunting down clues to her past and at the same time being hunted down by something sinister. The developers’ goal was to draw players into the atmosphere of film noir through a psychological and horrific narrative. Check out the latest story trailer here:

While attempting to track down memories of her past, Marie must use her “Focus” feature to evade danger. This ability allows her to see through the eyes of a pursuer that’s on her trail so that she can have a better chance of survival. Truly “a suspenseful game of cat and mouse,” Dollhouse’s single player campaign will be eerie, and extra care will have to be taken as every level or map is procedurally generated so that each restart is different no matter what game mode is being played. Utilizing over 40 abilities, players can customize and upgrade their character to gain unique advantages against threats.

Interestingly, Dollhouse also has multiplayer incorporated into the base game, which pits players against each other. Each person will have a target that they will have to eliminate strategically while be hunted themselves by another player. There will be 14 playable characters in multiplayer free-for-all and each come with their own background story. Multiplayer will be somewhat familiar to single players since they’ll be tracking down memories, but this time they need to do some murdering along the way.

Creazn is really priding themselves on the scare factors that Dollhouse is going to bring to the table, compiling a video of content creators’ reactions to some of the many scares in store for players that we’ll show you below. Dollhouse will be available on May 24 for the PlayStation 4 and in the Steam store for PC users.
