Further details about the beta will come as we get closer to the event. In addition to its beta reveal, Square Enix recently released an official story trailer. The trailer highlights Dissidia‘s entire launch roster; the game will feature 28 characters from the Final Fantasy Universe when it launches at the end of January, with more to come. Players will also be able to call several classic Final Fantasy Summons into battle; the Summons are “epic beasts and allies that can either boost your team’s abilities to victory or rain destruction down upon your enemies.”
Those who purchase the game’s Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Collector’s Edition will get a season pass, which adds six additional characters to Dissidia‘s roster post-launch. The Collector’s Edition also comes with an art book, soundtrack, a Warrior of Light bust figure, and special Final Fantasy trading cards.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT launches for the PlayStation 4 on January 30th, 2018.
