Disney Pixel RPG Surpasses 500,000 Pre-Registrations; New Trailer, Key Visual Released

Earlier this year, developer/publisher GungHo Online Entertainment revealed a new, free-to-play pixel art mobile RPG called Disney Pixel RPG for iOS and Android. The game is similar to Kingdom Hearts as players will team up with Disney characters to fight a mysterious enemy across all of the different Disney worlds. Today, GungHo Online Entertainment released a new trailer and a new key visual featuring everyone’s favorite Disney characters for the game.

In Disney Pixel RPG, players will “explore with beloved Disney characters brought to life in a unique pixel art style.  Set out across multiple game worlds with battle, action, and board theme world challenges, with each world inhabited by many different Disney characters. Engage with an original mystery and watch it unfold with your trusted companion, Mickey Mouse and his friends.”

Characters included in the game come from Disney Mickey & Friends,  Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, Mulan, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Zootopia, Lilo & Stitch, The Arisocats, The Little Mermaid, Winnie the Pooh, Big Hero 6, and more.

Throughout Disney RPG, players will gather materials and power up characters when they are away from the game. The Disney characters can even explore the game worlds when the player isn’t playing through Expeditions. Various items will be rewarded to the player when they return from Expeditions.

Disney Pixel RPG’s battle system allows for players the option to have their characters battle automatically or they can control them directly.  More experienced RPG players can go deeper by strategizing and making use of the Attack, Defend, and Skill commands.

The game also allows for players to customize their characters by completing challenges to get rewards like new clothing and items.

The game will be available in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, United States, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and will support English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese (traditional) languages.
