Disney Classic Games Collection Coming to New Platforms This Fall With Additional Titles

The Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and the Lion King are heading to some new homes and with a brand new title. Now dubbed the Disney Classic Games Collection, this set will include all of the previous titles, plus some bonus additions. This new collection will have several different iterations of Aladdin, The Lion King, and even The Jungle Book. The titles are all being ported/developed by Digital Eclipse and are being published by Nighthawk Interactive.

As you can see in the tweet above, this new release has The Jungle Book and the Super Nintendo version of Aladdin. For those who don’t know, Aladdin had two different versions, one of the Super Nintendo and one for the Sega Genesis. While the debate rages on about which one was superior, there is no doubt that they are both two of the best 2D platformers of the 1990s. The Jungle Book is also given the same treatment here, having both of the aforementioned platform versions as well. Players will be able to switch between both iterations before playing them.

The Disney Classic Games Collection also comes with some cool extra features that the previous one did not have. This includes some behind-the-scenes slideshows, more music to choose from, and listen to, the choice to actually watch a playthrough of each game as opposed to playing it, and the famous/infamous ability to rewind time in any game to undue a mistake. The Disney Classic Games Collection will officially launch on November 9 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The set will cost $29.99, however, if you have the previous set you can just upgrade it with a special DLC pack called The Jungle Book and MORE Aladdin, which will cost $9.99.
