Disintegration takes place in a sci-fi post-apocalypse where natural resources have run short. Additionally, Earth’s climate has slowly made the planet nearly uninhabitable for life, pushing humans to near extinction. In an attempt to preserve humanity, human brains started being placed in cybernetic bodies called “Integrations.” The conflict revolves around the Integrations and the remainder of humans.
Players of Disintegration take control of vehicles called “Gravcycles” that are akin to the titans from Titanfall. On top of offering a FPS experience, Disintegration offers a mix of RTS as well. Players will get to command various minor ground units. To what extent players can exercise control over ground units is unclear. While the closed beta is mostly exploring the multiplayer aspect of the game, Disintegration will offer a single player campaign following a group of outlaws as they rebel against the “Rayonne,” a radical group of cyborgs, where players will get to lead various units in combat as the pilot named Romer Shoal.
Slots for the closed beta are limited and players can sign up on the Disintegration website. The beta doesn’t have a projected time to become an open beta. Currently, Disintegration is yet to have a date to expect the full release but the game is planned to be finished in 2020 for PC and home consoles. It is also unknown if progress is carried over to the full release for beta players.
