Dishonored 2’s Second Update Just Went Live

Bethesda released its second update for Dishonored 2 today and boy does it add a whole lot. Across all platforms, players can now have access to mission selection options as well as new difficulty settings and numerous other random additions.

Having been Beta tested on PC all last week, the developers felt strong enough to meet their deadline and implement the update across Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.

Now, when playing Dishonored 2, players will have the freedom to choose how much they want to die, I mean, choose a custom difficulty. There will be more than 20 different “sliders” that players can adjust which will tailor their playing experience to however they desire. An example provided in a press release reveals that players will have the option to choose how long a sleep dart will last, or even  elect how many enemies are likely going to try and attack you at any given time.

A special slider is also included in the Custom Difficulty settings for those seeking the ultimate challenge with Iron Mode. Toggle on Iron Mode when starting a new game and, without manual saves or loads, live with the consequences of your actions or face permadeath because of them.

In addition to custom difficulty settings, players will finally get what they desired most; Mission Select. Now, every mission will be able to be started over and played however you want. Once the update is installed, players will find themselves able to replay any mission while retaining the status of their play through at the beginning of the mission.

If you can be sure to download the update, the patch not only adds content but fixes some pesky bugs throughout the game. For a full list of but fixes simply head over to Dishonored website and take a look for yourself.
