A new gameplay trailer for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, showed off the new PS Vita game. The game is set for a 2015 release date in Japan and no word on a western release date has been discussed.
The game is going to be an RPG based on the Japanese franchise, Digimon. The franchised has spawned films, televisions shows and many other forms of media featuring “digital monsters” comparable to Pokemon. Although not as popular as “pocket monsters,” the franchise sells enough for this new game in Japan.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth takes place in the “real world” but as the trailer goes on you soon see that elements of the “Digital World” have started to leak in, and you need to discover the mystery going on between the two worlds. In the trailer you will see Agumon, as well as Terriermon and Angewoman. The game will play similar to older “Digimon” RPG titles and it will also take on the leveling systems just like the classic JRPGs. Just like any game, Digimon will allow you to take on the role of the protagonist male or female on this adventure.
Examiner reports that because the game is only a 2015 Japan exclusive, there has been a strong push to localize the game into western markets. Until further notice, the franchise based game still has no exact date.
