For the uninitiated, Diablo III has seasonal events that lasts a long period of time, usually many months, that allows players to start fresh with a brand new temporary character and play through the game all over. The upside to this is that there are brand new rewards for each season, which includes themes, armors, and cosmetics that players can earn for their permanent characters.
Season 15: The Boon of the Horadrim will boast numerous rewards and challenges. For the entirety of the season, all of the Horadric Caches earned from bounties in each Act will be doubled, meaning that once you complete five full bounties, you’ll receive two of them as opposed to just one. This is huge as the Caches contain the seasonal rewards that scale to the players’ levels and give them a chance to earn more than usual in a shorter amount of time. Season 15 will also include new cosmetics, which are earned by going through the Season Journey. Brand new portrait frames based on the Eternal Conflict will be available, as well as the special pet cosmetic, Belphegor, which will be around to help you keep an eye on your wallet with its tight grip.
Speaking of the Season Journey, players who complete them attain the title of Conqueror, obtaining more stash tabs in the process. The Stashes are extremely important as they hold onto items, seasonal or not, that you don’t wish to have in your personal inventory. The Stash Tabs expand upon that, creating even more space for more inventory purposes. Players can earn an additional Tab by completing the tasks at the Conquest Tier during the Season Journey. These tasks will include finishing a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII Difficulty in less then 5 minutes, reaching the Greater Rift Solo at level 60, and slaying Greed on Torment XIII Difficulty.
The Seasonal Conquests make a return too, which are mostly composed of speed runs, such as the Speed Racer/Sprinter Challenge where you must complete the main campaign at level 70 in under one hour. In addition, there is a Boss Mode where you must defeat each boss from Diablo III on Torment X Difficulty in under 20 minutes. The last thing to mention is the class armor sets given to the players via Haedrigs Gift. By completing specific chapters in Acts, the player can earn special seasonal class sets, the ultimate prize for each season. When you open certain chests in those chapters, you will earn special armor pieces for whichever class you’re playing as. In order to earn a full set, you’ll need to open all chests with the same class, so be sure that the class you pick is the one you absolutely want to play as for the duration of the season.
Diablo III Season 14: Season of Greed ends today at 5:00 pm PST, so if anyone needs to get any last minute Challenges or Caches in, this is your last chance. Once that ends, there will be a four day break so Blizzard can prepare the game for Season 15: Boon of the Horadrim. As stated earlier, it will start on Friday, September 21 at 5:00 pm PST. Everyone get ready for another round of never ending collecting!
