Deus Ex GO has officially launched, bringing the acclaimed hit series directly to your mobile device. It is developed by Square Enix Montreal, creators of two other console-to-phone hits, Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO. Here is the reveal trailer for the game:
In Deus Ex GO, you once again follow cybernetic covert ops agent Adam Jensen, as you use hacking, hand to hand combat, and your augmentations to solve puzzles. The game will feature a robust story, hopefully of the caliber of Deus Ex: Human Revolution or the upcoming sequel, Mankind Divided. The stories were known for their cynical, dystopian view of cybernetic advancements using the human body, and the question of exactly how far would be too far before human’s stopped being humans.
With the core game, you will be able to play up to fifty story challenges. The goal is to outsmart a variety of enemies, from guards to robot walkers, using hacking technology to warp the environment, and your augmentations to solve puzzles.
Deus Ex GO will even feature cross-over content for Mankind Divided, unlocking Praxis Kits via a Square Enix membership. Each week, new challenges will be unlocked, so players may continue to advance the story and hone their abilities.
The most interesting part is that Deus Ex GO will include an innovative feature in the puzzle maker. While not shipping with the initial release, it will allow players to create their own challenges and then share them with friends.
Deus Ex GO is available now on Android and the Apple Store for $4.99. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be available for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on August 23rd.
