Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate Newest Trailer

Developer Bungie debuted a new cinematic trailer for Destiny 2’s newest DLC, The Edge of Fate, which is set to launch on July 15th. The DLC will introduce a destination, new items, new events, and a number of changes to the game.

The new cinematic trailer seems to begin in a city that existed just before modern times, with the phone ringing and the rewind sound of time playing. A train zips by the older scenery of the inside of a federal building until suddenly the player is in the future, to the furthest planet they’ve ever been to. Jumping across invisible platforms, killing enemies using high-tech weapons, and being a part of an arrangement they can’t say no to.

Kepler is the name of the new destination and planet, as looming threat destroys everything that the Guardians knew about Sol because of its historic nature. Kepler will have a new World Tiers System with destination-specific abilities, combat encounters, new combatants, and even more. Developers also showcased a new feature, The Portal, on their developer livestream, allowing players to jump into desired activities, earn rewards, get bonus drops, and obtain earnable armor sets in a more streamlined way.

New armor and weapon sets will include new Exotics that will alter the builds players can utilize were revealed on the developer stream. Some standout equipment includes Eunoia, Warlock Exotic Solar Gauntlets, which will allow players to generate a Solar Soul with their class ability that follows the player around, firing off fireballs at enemies. Eunoia turns the Solar Souls fireballs into mortar shells that evolve into more projectiles that chase down enemies. Moirai, Hunter Exotic Strand chest armor will improve melee builds that focus on Tangles. With the armor set, the Tangle can be yanked back to the player. Notably, there is also Melas Panoplia, Titan Exotic Solar Gauntlets, which powers Solar Throwing Hammer melee since it allows the hammer to be called back to the player with the potential to trigger an explosion that sets enemies ablaze, which extends the duration of Forage Master.

A number of new archetypes for weapons will be joining the loot pool: the Legendary Heavy Bow, Spreadshot Hand Cannon, Rocket-Assisted Pulse Rifle, and Longbow. Along with new artifact mods, all of the new content will release on July 15 as part of the Year of Prophecy release according to a press release
