Just like with any form of entertainment, video games have the opportunity to elicit emotion through serious moments or light-hearted ones. While it isn’t uncommon to find both in the same game, some take the combination a step further by having an unserious premise be treated with extreme respect. This combination is on full display in the new trailer for Delivery Must Complete, being the first to come since the official trailer half a year ago. Developed by Yoyoyollie and published by Top Hat Studios, Delivery Must Complete is true to its name as a delivery simulator in the harshest of conditions.
Unlike what one would expect from a game about delivering packages, the trailer starts off by showing a fighter plane in the midst of an intense fight above the clouds. Information from the game’s Steam store page reveals that the flying ace is the player character delivering the package. The game is described as an Acelike Roguelike that combines elements of Ace Combat and Devil May Cry. Each battle will bring new challenges as players will contend in procedurally generated battles in four different environments. They will also have the ability to customize modules they earn throughout their playthrough to obtain additional “style points” to increase the style ranking.
The second half of the trailer focuses more on the bright, sleek art style of the game, with an emphasis on the planes that players will be able to collect. During a delivery, planes will have the ability to boost, drift, and fire weapons to clear through the carnage and protect the package. To complete the mission, players will need to fight through fellow aces and more powerful aircraft that have all united against them, with the added incentive of finishing the delivery before it gets cold.
The trailer finished by revealing that Delivery Must Complete‘s demo will be available in early 2027 on PC.
