Behaviour Interactive has revealed their new PC game Deathgarden, which takes place in the near future. Within that world, the most “popular entertainment on the planet” is when the hunted faces off with the hunters.
The style of the game has a horror concept within its design. The hunted characters sport simplistic, yet seemingly symbolic, masks; which gives the game a distinctive appearance and it will surely draw on the audience’s curiosity. There is an enigmatic conflict between the fleet-footed characters and the “heavily armed champions”. It makes one wonder who are the good guys, and who are the bad?
Deathgarden features an asymmetrical multiplayer mode. This game obviously shares similarities with Behaviour’s Dead By Daylight, especially where the multiplayer mode and objective is concerned. But within Deathgarden, the hunted are given more of a fair chance when pursued by a deadly brute who is tasked with “preventing them from escaping The Garden”. Instead of relying on basic human capabilities, it seems that these characters will be equipped with lethal bows and arrows backed by their formidable survival skills.
The folks at Behaviour Interactive clearly favor asymmetrical game play, and are on a quest to perfect it. With the strong ratings of Dead By Daylight from Steam and Microsoft, the eagerness for Deathgarden should have been anticipated. Fans excited for the game exclaim “So hyped” and “Exciting stuff!!!” Since the release of the trailer, gamers have taken quite well to its concept, one fan stating “This game is looking better the more I see of it” The presentation of the game has elicited many questions centered around whether the game will be available for consoles as well? And if there are any gameplay trailers? Unfortunately, an actual play through of the game is not yet available.
Deathgarden is action-packed with gripping visuals. To get a taste of the invigorating game play, fans will be able to play the game at PAX East, and they can sign up for the closed alpha on PC.
