Deadzone: Rogue created by Prophecy Games has left early access development and launched into version 1.0. The full release of the game promises a large amount of new content, according to a press release.
Since the game is a co-op Roguelite FPS, the addition of 20 new enemies, two unique mini-bosses, and a large boss encounter will fundamentally change the experience of blasting through waves of enemies. Each of these enemies will have their own abilities for players to learn and navigate around. The update has also introduced an entirely new synergy system, introducing 40+ options to enhance existing and new builds, since the developers have also added the elements of psionic and plasma to the game. On-top of two new elements there are also two exotic weapons and one melee weapon that will interact with the new additions to the game, according to the patch notes. All of these additions will be influenced by the six new perk families that will buff characters, allowing for even more diverse builds and playstyles.
The content addition isn’t limited to combat. Prophecy Games has developed 9 new missions for players to engage with known as, Get Out of My Head, Legion, Killing Time, Uniform Chaos III, Spearhard, Triggerline, Harbinger, The Long Haul, and Crossfire. The missions are accompanied by greater lore logs and expanded glossary screen, adding more detail to the story. On top of these missions and lore elements, a third zone has been added to the game that emphasizes a bio-organic feel meaning even more immersion in blood, gore, and freakiness. These additions are accompanied by new original soundtracks for all 3 zones that will ensure adrenaline pumps.
The new content is accompanied by a number of quality of life changes including a new avatar and title system for the player profile, voice chat, audio localization for Chinese and Japanese, tracking of life time statistics, and reticle customization. Players who have been playing since early access will receive an unique avatar and title, exclusively for them due to their support. A 1.0 launch trailer can be found below showcasing and celebrating the update.
A deluxe edition of Deadzone: Rogue has also launched including the Operative Pack, the original soundtrack, the Void King suit, weapon skins, a golden name, and a lounge area with a jukebox. As a celebration for the game entering 1.0, the deluxe edition is sold at a 20% discount with a future console release confirmed.
