Dead or Alive 6 Will be Released on February 15, 2019

Death or Alive 6 has its release date officially confirmed as February 15, 2019, and will contain the story mode and online PvP mode. This new entry in the DoA series was developed using a new set of game engines which adds more refined and realistic visual details, especially dynamic facial expressions. When the characters in the game cast kick and box, their facial expressions will be more intense. After players cast the combo, the character will become sweaty, and wounds will appear on the character where he or she got hurt.

Death or Alive 6 will change the famous “chest shake” feature that the previous works were known for, as the chest of the female characters will no longer shake in an exaggerated way. Designers want to portray women in games in a more natural way, making them more like realistic humanoid characters.

Although the visual effects will change, the core gameplay of Death or Alive 6 is still very familiar to the fans. The game will introduce a new set of combo and special attack systems to facilitate newcomers and introduce them to the game, officially named “Fatal Rush” and “Break Gauge” for the two systems respectively. These two systems will enable the players who are just getting started to experience the thrill of the fighting game. For the experienced veterans, they have to be cautious when judging the timing of  these two systems and thus adds another layer of practicality to the game.

The new trailer also shows that a new battle stage is an abandoned ancient vessel, while the danger zone is a giant octopus. The danger zone is an interactive PvE element of the Death Or Alive series, which is set for each stage.

Death or Alive 6 will be released on February 15, 2019, launching on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned for more information.
