On May 1st, the developers and publishers of the Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive Inc., franchise have released a new trailer for Steady Pulse. The new update will arrive on May 6, and the new update will bring a new survivor and new character perks.

In the trailer, players can get a glimpse of the new survivor Orela Rose and her backstory. Orela Rose is a medic that specializes in high-stakes resources. The new perks that are being added to the game, along with her character, will be used to heal, protect, and scout to help out the other three Survivors survive the killer– there hasn’t been any more information about the perks as of yet.

There is more to her story on the Dead by Daylight official website in one of their newest newsletters. There are also different voice recordings that goes more into Orela as a character on the page. It says, “Surrounded by pain, beckoned by death, clinging to stubborn hope – that is when she is in her element. Inspired by the memory of her best friend Emily, who was fatally electrocuted while performing at the interactive Haunted House experience they organized, Orela dedicated her life to saving those in need.”

The death of her best friend still haunts her and she continues to question herself that if she knew the things she knew now, would she be able to save her best friend? After saving the life of Jon Kingsly, he was so grateful towards her that he officered to open Screams in the Dark, an immersive dining experience that Orela and Emily have been dreaming of.

Orela now had two jobs of being a medic and also running Screams in the Dark. Despite that, the heavy weight of Emily not being there to share that dream and see it thrive. Suddenly, Orela didn’t show up for work, and Screams in the Dark closed indefinitely. There have been strange reports going around about a Black Fog enveloping her.
