FunPlus and Warner Brothers Interactive Entertained partnered up to announce the new mobile game currently under development, DC: Dark Legion. Inspired by the DC universe, the game will bring to life the story of a recent famous comic series.
DC: Dark Legion will deliver a fresh new story within the world of “Dark Nights: Metal”. Notorious supervillain, The Batman Who Laughs, has launched an attack on all superheroes across the Earth. The game will explore the DC multiverse as an agent from the thirty-first century to take on this threat. Players will operate as this secret agent who must recruit as many as the world’s mightiest heroes as they can to put a stop to The Batman Who Laughs’ plans. Otherwise, this formidable threat will be devastating enough to destroy everything everyone has ever held dear.
The player is aided by various members of the Justice League as they work together to build up their bases, enhance their superpowers, upgrade equipment while interacting and lead a team of their most favorite DC characters. Furthermore, DC: Dark Legion will include global multiplayer combat allowing players to invite their friends to fight alongside them as they strive to save the Earth. These multiplayer battles will challenge groups of friends’ strategy, teamwork, and coordination as they face up against DC’s most powerful foes.
The game will be an immersive strategy game that features iconic DC superheroes and supervillains on players’ phone screens in 2024. DC: Dark Legion is expected to be available on both iOS and Android devices. More details about DC: Dark Legions will be revealed in the upcoming months.
DC: Dark Legion is based on the comic series by DC called “Dark Nights: Metal” that ran from 2017 to 2018. In “Dark Nights: Metal”, Batman has discovered the existence of a parallel timeline called the Dark Universe. The caped crusader learns that this universe and his own are connected through the usage of some mysterious metal he had been investigating for quite some time. Unfortunately, Batman’s curiosity gets the better of him as his meddling unintentionally unleashes seven devious variations of himself across the Earth. Led by the dark lord Barbatos, Batman’s evil doppelgangers quickly begin to spread chaos and darkness all over the world and Batman must seek the aid of the Justice League to undo the mistake he has made.
