DayZ and its Livonia DLC Will Now Be Packaged Together

DayZ, a multiplayer survival game that was based off a mod for Arma 2, will be receiving a major change with the coming 1.25 update. On Steam, DayZ will now come with its Livonia DLC already available. The two are currently offered in bundle together on Steam. This bundle is a perfect fit for any players who know they want to experience the DLC along with the base game and are just starting their journeys. After the update, the price of the game by itself will go up, but will not be as expensive as the current bundle which is $53 or £41. For players who have only purchased the base game, don’t worry they’ll be able to benefit from this as well, with the DLC being a free addition. Finally for those who have already purchased both they will still be getting something. These players will get the soundtrack for free. If any players have all three already, there is no word for what they might receive.

DayZ’s history is definitely interesting, especially when considering the impact it’s had on the genre. With its five year long early access period, it was officially released in 2018. However, to those classic players, the game is over eleven years old since its start in 2013. The Livonia update, which expanded the map among other points. Overall the DLC has mostly positive reviews on Steam, and for players who so far have only enjoyed the base game, might offer some nice new ways to play.

The 1.25 update also offers some new sound design on weapons, roughly 100 minutes of ambient music, and how much players can hear from other survivors’ actions. According to their blog post from April 23rd, more comprehensive information about the update will be coming on May 20th, but the update’s actual release day has not been confirmed. Until then players can find the Livonia DLC on Steam for $13.99 if they’ve already bought the base game, or the bundle for $53.08 if they have not.
