Hi-Fi Rush, Tango Gameworks’s sleeper hit rhythm action game could be seeing a release on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, according to evidence from a recent data mine. The evidence allegedly lies in a folder within the recent Hi-Fi Rush anniversary update.
A folder was found with T-shirt designs that seemed to match the color scheme for the platforms the game was on. That said, two of those shirt designs seemed to resemble the PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch.
The Playstation design is set to a blue background with text saying “I’m Here Baby.” As for the Switch, its design was set to a red background with text reading “Rock Out Anywhere.” While the source for the leak is currently unknown, screenshots were first uploaded on the Hi-Fi Rush sub-Reddit, but have since been raced back to a Tumblr blog post.
Regardless, with no confirmed source the validity of this data-mine remained up in the air for some time, even known Xbox Insiders like Idle Sloth were skeptical of its validity.
The skepticism didn’t last for long though and now, thanks to new images of the files caught by Sloth and credence by The Verge’s Tom Warren, it’s all but confirmed that the data mine is true.
While the new evidence is extremely promising, fans will have to wait for official confirmation by Microsoft. Until then players interested in Hi-Fi RUSH can play it now on the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
