Darkside Detective: Backside of the Moon released its Case 1 Reveal Trailer for the upcoming game in the Akupara Games Direct. It’s a new gaming direct by publishers Akupara Games, where they showcased a few games including Darkside Detective’s own trailer. There’s no release date yet for Darkside Detective: Back of the Moon, only its 2027 Steam release window, but its developers Spooky Doorway have published the demo on Steam, for curious fellows to check out and see how they feel about the game. There are also two previous games before Darkside Detective: Backside of the Moon: The Darkside Detective and The Darkside Detective: A Fumble In the Dark which players may be keen on playing before Backside of the Moon.
Case 1 shows “Detective Mc Queen” and “Officer Dooley” once again deeply entrenched in their city. In this case, they’re investigating “Werewolves.” The duo show up at a dog competition, where a lady pets a wolf, it bites her and she gets turned into a werewolf, as the two nonchalantly observe. The story continues on with the tease of a “City Traffic Control System” mini game, that the officers might use to get from place to place. They end up at a “TLTV” joint where they argue with a Mallbot. When they eventually get inside, Officer Dooley’s on stage, with a couple of werewolves and humans, taking a turn on a bagpipe piano while the Detective MC Queen takes a ride on the stage’s upward platform. The duo meet “Lisa” who adds nothing to their investigation, and another type of officer as they continue their werewolf search, it seems they aim to set up a trap for the werewolves, before they go backstage of a concert. Then it ends with the trailer giving just a brief glimpse of the antics expected in case 1.
