Nintendo Switch has revealed that Dark Souls: Remastered will be delayed until this summer. The game has generated a great amount of excitement, so the sudden announcement is quite disappointing to Switch fans.
It seems that the game will only be delayed for the Nintendo Switch, and all other platforms will not be affected. Regardless, since the unexpected announcement, Switch has obviously had to deal with a lot of backlash and confusion from fans because the company has not clarified why the game is being delayed in the first place.
Due to the nature of causality, we must announce that the Nintendo Switch version of #DarkSoulsRemastered will be pushed back to summer of 2018, and with it, the release of the Solaire of Astora amiibo.
PC/PS4/X1 versions will maintain their May 25th release date.

A few fans seem to be irreversibly dispirited over the wait for Dark Souls. “Sorry but this is unacceptable. Will not support this game now”, one fan states. Unfortunately, it does not help that Switch has not given a specific date as to when the game will finally be available, but it’s quite possible that the lack of information is for the best of the community as the Nintendo Team diligently works to bring out their best version of Dark Souls.
However, a good amount of fans have not lost their faith in the game, and are dedicated to getting their hands on a copy once it finally releases. While some may argue that a delayed game will end up with poor sales, many followers of Dark Souls are confident that the wait will be worth it and are even more excited to play to the game.
