Owners of a PlayStation 2 may remember the Dark Cloud RPG game an incredibly challenging game and an incredible amount of ingenuity for its time. For the rest of us not alive when this game came out you are in for a real treat as this game is worth all the praise and fans it acquired. At it’s core the game was a hardcore RPG with a huge focus on dungeon crawling.
According to Gamespot the game will be coming out on what is called a PS2 Emulator. You start out the game finding that almost everyone (and everything has disappeared) that some magical genie did it. You will meet and control all kinds of interesting characters though all with their own unique attack abilities like a sword or slingshot along the way. Some of the cooler elements of the game included having a fully planned out strategy for dungeons where you could run low on health and physical food resources. As well as having to place and rebuild the entire town in a simulation building mode that was ahead of its time.
This is exciting news for fans of the original and new fans alike as it will give you an opportunity to pick up a long hard to find gem that requires an older system to play. If you are okay with a long dungeon crawler will you will die a lot and have to start the dungeon all over and have weapons constantly in need of repair and sometimes unfair boss battles and enemies this game is for you. If you do still have a copy of the game lying around somewhere Gamespot says you cannot play it on the PS4 but will have to repurchase it probably in digital download only.
