Cyberpunk 2077 Rumored to be Showcased at E3 2018

The upcoming CD Projekt Red RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, has been making headlines a lot recently. It first started last year when CD Projekt Red announced that the game engine was up and running, and just last week, the official Twitter posted for the first time in four years. Now, it has been rumored that Cyberpunk 2077 will be featured at this year’s E3.

According to information obtained by GRYOnline, one of the biggest Polish gaming websites, a fully playable demo of Cyberpunk 2077 will be present at E3 2018. The demo “will be presented behind the closed door of the event to journalists and other industry representatives.” A similar situation has happened in the past with CD Projekt Red’s last game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where a dev showcased the game in front of an audience. As a result, it would not be too out of the ordinary for another showcase resembling the last one.

If this information turns out to be correct, then it would be the first time any public gameplay footage would be shown outside of the Warsaw studio. This info comes at a time that parallels another bit of information from YouTuber LegacyKillahHD. In this video, the YouTuber talks about possible leaked information, and how apparently CD Projekt Red sent an early test demo to Sony. If this also checks out, then there is a good chance that the demo will be available sometime soon regardless of E3. The rest of the video and information can be viewed in the video below.

In addition, there will apparently be a new trailer presented at one of the press conferences at E3. It is currently unknown if the trailer will feature gameplay or be another pre-rendered trailer like 2013’s teaser announcement. This would also be the first Cyberpunk 2077 trailer to be shown to the public in over five years. When GRYOnline reached out to a representative of CD Projekt Red to confirm or deny these rumors, the response back stated that the company does not comment on rumors and speculations.

E3 2018 will begin on June 12 and run through until June 14, and press conferences should happen just a few days before the main event.
