Cyberpunk 2077 has been out for almost a week and along with the wonder of the character customizations, the amazing cyber wire, and Easters eggs scattered around the game, there has also been loads of criticism and glitches surrounding it as well. Some of the loudest criticism has come from PS4 and Xbox One players who state the game is almost unplayable between the glitches and crashes. CD Projekt Red even put out a public apology on Cyberpunk 2077 Official Twitter page.

In this apology, CD Projekt Red also mentions their upcoming bugs and crashes schedule, the next one coming within the next seven days, and two big updates planned for January and February. Refunds are also being offered to Xbox One and PS4 players, digital and physical copies, if they do not wish to wait for the updates in the next coming months. CD Projekt Red also makes it clear that these updates will not make the game look as good as on the next-generation consoles or high-spec PCs, but the game will be more enjoyable.
New hotfix to #Cyberpunk2077 is now live on PlayStation consoles and PC. For Xbox systems, we are working to have the update out as soon as possible.

Cyberpunk 2077‘s latest hotfix, 1.04, is now available on all platforms since December 12. One of the biggest fixes in this update was a solution to the epileptic triggers in the game. The flashing effects that have causes seizures were reduced, smoothed, and less frequent. They also patched their Streamer Mode music which accidentally contained copyrighted music, streamers should now be safe to use the “Disable Copyrighted Music” feature without fear there is still copyrighted songs in the mix.
Players took the storm to Twitter to showcase their glitches and express their frustrations. The glitches are anywhere from buggy characters to third-person driving mode not working, teleportation, or glitches keeping missions from being completed. PS5 and Xbox One players got the worse part of the crashes and glitches, character definitions are virtually invisible with the huge pixelated and bumpy features. Twitter showcases the best of the glitches and players experience with running the game on their desired platform.
@CyberpunkGame is the biggest bust in gaming history I think. It’s fun to play. Story is great. The IDEA of it was just too big for @CDPROJEKTRED to do right this time. It’s amazingly bad; the glitches and crashes and then this… wow. #Cyberpunk2077 https://t.co/NCaN6MckxT

Tried to defend @CDPROJEKTRED on @CyberpunkGame but after 30+ hours with 10 crashes and 1 hard crash on ps5,horrible A.I,bugs/glitches,lack of world interaction, and realization of nothing new or innovative. What were you doing for 8 years?😭😭😭

I think it’s cool how CDPR filled #Cyberpunk2077 with lots of bugs and glitches as a bit of a homage to all those janky RPG’s from the early 2000’s. That was what they were going for, right? pic.twitter.com/88hQcxmgfg

Please don’t play Cyberpunk 2077 on a base PS4 or Xbox One. It is a shockingly bad way to experience what is otherwise a fantastic RPG on better hardware. 4/10

Whoever is telling you:
“I’m playing the game on base consoles and i’ve only experienced a few bugs!” is flat out lying and probably trying to cover CDPR’s ass
on NO Xbox one (x) or PS4 (pro) is the game running well or stable
its not a case by case issue#Cyberpunk2077 pic.twitter.com/yEMGGMj3Sd

Cyberpunk 2077 will have to find a way to fix these issues on last-gen consoles. CD Projekt Red promises the upcoming updates will solve the current issues in the game. Other fixes and patches can be found in Cyberpunk’s hotfix notes.
