Indie Game Studio Cyanide Studio, who is the creator behind Blood Bowl and the upcoming Styx: Master of Shadows, have announced today that they will be bringing yet another sports related game to the fields, in their new football simulator, Front Page Sports Football. With this news Cyanide Studio has also given a quick look at how to strategize for your game using Gameplan and Playbook. Front Page Sports Football will be making its way to PC on September 25th.
Time to drop the fantasy world of Warhammer at the gates, because players will only be experiencing this Football Sim in the fields of American Football in Front Page Sports Football. Players will be able to prepare for their next opponent in two ways; going through a team or player’s stats, which includes their rushing, passing, and much more, or the second way is to watch your opponents last game in either 2D or 3D in order to find out what their weakness and strengths are on the field and see how to tackle that.
With the decision of how you will strategize between the two ways to tackle against your opponents, you can customize your Gameplan that will help you stomp on your opponent, especially learning their weaknesses. With you managing the team and becoming the best coach, you will need to make the best Gameplan that will allow you adapt and take advantage of whatever is going on the field or risk losing the game, and the players on your team will choose the right Gameplan with what the situation is going on the field.
There are over 2,300 plays in the Playbook, which allows you to pick between a Gameplan that includes a collection of 80 offensive and 60 defensive strategies. “But, a play is only as strong as the athletes on the field. Effectiveness hinges not only on a player’s position and stats, but also his previous experience with the play.”
Every thing is taken to account when you have players d0 a certain Gameplan, which weight, agility, speed, morale, and fame, plus over 20 stats will change for good or bad on the each individual player. Take on the best season and seasons to come, and create a goal that will have you either go for short-lived gains for the next game or focus on the entire season and make your players better.
