Just a couple of hours ago, a gameplay trailer for Nuverse’s Crystal of Atlan ‘HexChess Challenge’ was released. The game will be releasing on Android and on PC according to their latest posts on X. The latest gameplay trailer that was released is for the Precursor Test that will run from February 18th to March 5th, and it is only available in Canada, Germany, Brazil, and the United Kingdom according to PocketGamer. There is no official release date as of yet for the full game.
The Technical Beta Test has already come to a close and the developers made several improvements from this test such as better combat effects, refining the controls and adding an updated class-change system. The new Precursor Test also added more languages, making it easier for other players from all around the world to play.
Crystal of Atlan is an MMO action RPG game where the player will be taken on a journey in a world where technology and magic are connected and interact with one another. Players will explore dungeon-like places and ancient ruins, and they will be able to uncover hidden secrets and face off against powerful monsters in these ruins such as Magitech Institute, the Stavo Family, and Maxwell Industries, all according to PocketGamer.
Players will be able to select from four main classes such as Swordsman, Musketeer, Magister, and Puppeteer, and eight advanced subclasses. Each of these classes offer their own unique abilities and playstyles that the player will be able to customize as their own and use them in combat.
According to the official Crystal of Atlan website, this is what the Game Director had to say about the game’s story: “One of the most crucial philosophies in game development is enhancing the player’s experience with a compelling narrative. Crystal of Atlan presents a Magicpunk-themed world with a story highlighting a divided society, conflict and resistance, and eventual harmony.”
