Crimson Desert is a massive open-world action-adventure game released this year, and most players have not finished it yet due to its sheer size. Upon release, the game was met with mixed reviews, with many complaining about the story, and even the developers came out and said they could have done better. Those developers have been working nonstop to improve the game. And during the September Sony State of Play, Peral Aybss showcased that the first major expansion of the game would be coming on October 15. But that has now changed, as the devs have announced a delay to the DLC: Crimson Desert DLC ‘ Charting the Unknown’ has been officially delayed to October 29 due to needing more time for polish and game stability.
Due to the delay, Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown will now be released on October 29, which is only a two-week delay. The reasoning behind this delay is that the game needs more polish and better game stability. “However, we have determined that we need additional development time to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience. Therefore, we have decided to move the DLC’s release by 2 weeks to October 29 GMT/PT.” Even with this delay, the DLC is still slated to be a massive update that will certainly ensure players won’t finish the game. As the DLC offers new places to visit, such as the ocean and a desert, and continues the overall story for the game’s three protagonists, it will truly make Pywel your home.
“We know many of you have been looking forward to returning to the game, and we sincerely apologize for the longer wait. We will use the additional time to further refine the content and do our utmost to deliver the best experience we can. Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown is the next big chapter for the game, offering even more content to an already content-rich game, and with the continued support of the devs, Crimson Desert’s run is truly expressive. Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown is officially set to release on October 29, with pre-orders now open for PlayStation, Xbox Series, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. And if you pre-order, you will receive a bonus: a scuba set for all three characters.
