It’s time to get back into the kitchen with the new game from the Cooking Mama series, Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appetit, which will be coming to Nintendo 3DS users in America this September. Cooking Mama was tending to her garden in Garden Mama 2: Forest Friends this past spring, and now coming to the kitchen to use what she has grown. Publisher Majesco Entertainment also mentions in the announcement that the Cooking Mama series has sold more than 13 million copies globally.
The original kitchen diva herself started out in the series, which was released on Nintendo DS back in 2006, and the recent one in the series, Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic was released 3 years ago. With this new game in the series 3DS users will get to use the multiplayer mode, which allows up to four players locally through the console’s download play feature. Come cook with your friends with this stylus-based game with over 60 recipes for appetizers, drinks, main courses and desserts.
There are six modes and one of them includes the new “Cooking Dojo,” that allows for first time players to learn how to cook from the Cooking Mama herself, plus features over 30 extra activities around your house and burger shops. Come prove to Mama that you got the culinary skills to cook in her kitchen!
Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appetit features includes the following:
- Unlock 60+ recipes as you progress. Test your skills with new appetizers, drinks, main dishes and desserts including: pork cutlet rice bowl, chicken nuggets, BBQ skewers, pumpkin gratin, raisin bread, Hawaiian pancakes, gingerbread cookies and much more!
- Step out of the kitchen and help Mama with more than 30 new activities around the shop and house: feed the pets, deliver orders, make change, serve ice cream, wash dishes, pick apples, organize, draw and more.

- Earn furniture and decorations via SpotPass to customize your menus and game screens. Make your kitchen your own with stained glass, wallpaper, picture frames, plants, holiday items and more. You can even customize Mama’s outfit!
- Single cart download play offers multiplayer cook offs for up to four players.
- Gyroscope and accelerometer support for certain recipes.
