As if being a teenager looking for a prom date wasn’t hard enough, add in monsters and things get a lot more complicated. Their page on Steam promises you will ” take personality quizzes to determine your stats, get into all kinds of funny and absurd situations to seduce your sweetheart and find out more about yourself than you or your friends ever knew.”
The premise is fairly simple. It’s three weeks before prom and you don’t have a date! You’ll have six classmates to choose between and attempt to woo in time for the big dance. Monsters aren’t worried about sexual orientation or gender, so this game isn’t either. Work on unlocking new rewards to boost your changes in this choose your own adventure style dating sim.
The interesting twist here is that Monster Prom is co-op. You and up to three friends can play locally or online together. And if two of you happen to be interested in the same potential date, well, you’ll have to pull out all the stops to win their monster heart.
The game promises witty dialogue, fantastic art and lovable characters. But at the end of the day, it’s the cutthroat world of high school and all that matters is not going to prom alone. So use any means necessary to beat your friends to your chosen sweetheart.
