Coltrane is a survival PvP game developed and published by Red Rover Interactive and has players attempting to advance their way from the back of a train to the front. The catch, this train is the last bastion of humanity in a desolate world. The train is divided into different social classes, with players starting their journey in Third Class, and attempting to reach or become the conductor of the train.
Along the way, players will have to fight, negotiate, or deceive others in order to make it further on the train, or just to survive. The game will feature weapons crafting, base building, and more as players attempt to survive the train.
The game has recently acquired a Steam store, where players can find all the information listed above, as well as a link to the Discord community which offers players a tutorial about the game, information about lore or story elements, and a place where players can find others to play against in games.
Also available on the Steam page is access to the game’s playtest. More accurately players can wishlist the game for when it comes out, and currently can request access to the playtest. As of now, there have been no user reviews on the game’s Steam page, whether that has to do with it still being in its playtest stage or a relatively new page is unclear.
For players looking to find out more information or check out the game for themselves, the Red Rover Interactive Youtube channel has some clips of gameplay footage, the Discord can give a rundown of everything players need about how to play, and the Steam store page offers access to the playtest for people who want to discover as they play. Coltrane’s final release date is still pending announcement.
