Following the release of the side-scroller game Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues, a sequel has recently been leaked by Flux Games and GameMill Entertainment. Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising is an upcoming beat ’em up game based on the popular Netflix series. This game will include returning characters and mechanics from the first game along with some new features. Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues was released in October 2020, after the finale of the show’s second season. Since then, many new characters and storylines have been introduced. Cobra Kai 2 will serve as a follow-up and contain attributes from season three and onward.

One of the most notable features of the Cobra Kai games is the choice to join any dojo from the show. Players can choose to strike first in Cobra Kai, learn self-defense in Miyagi-Do, or try something different with the inclusion of Eagle Fang. Along with an additional dojo, the sequel will have a total of 28 playable characters, which is a major upgrade from the first game’s selection of only eight characters. It is unknown if William Zabka or Ralph Macchio will reprise their roles, but it is likely since they voiced Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso in the previous installment.
Once a character is selected, it is up to the player to build them up as a fighter by collecting chi and coins. Fighters will work their way to the All Valley Tournament by recruiting new members to their team and strengthening their dojo. Players can compete in the All Valley Tournament with Online Tournament Mode to claim the title of Grand Champion. Cobra Kai 2 also gives players the choice to reenact episodes from the show with Cobra Classics or engage in a new storyline with Story Mode. All in all, players can strike hard with no mercy in this original fighting game.
As of today, no trailer has been released for the game yet. Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms this fall. Remember, Cobra Kai never dies!
