The Golden Joystick Awards 2025 is set to return on November 20. The Golden Joystick Awards are different from some of the other awards as they are voted for by the people who buy and play games, the fans. Voting is now open and will remain until 5 pm PDT / 8 pm EDT / midnight GMT on October 31, 2025. There are 21 categories, ranging from Best Storytelling and Multiplayer to Best Game Trailer and Most Wanted. This year also sees a new award for Best Remake / Remaster. This year’s nominees are led by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 with 6 nominations including Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, Studio of the Year, Best Soundtrack, Best Lead Performer, and Best Supporting Performer.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yōtei, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II are behind Clair Obscur with 4 nominations each. Indies like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Sword of the Sea, and Peak also received multiple nominations.

The “Ultimate Game of the Year” award nominees will be announced on November 3 with voting going live the same day.
