City Tales: Medieval Era Now Available for Early Access

Just today, developers from Irregular Shapes and publisher Firesquid released a launch trailer for their game City Tales: Medieval Era on the IGN YouTube channel. The game is available for Early Access on PC through Steam and also according to the Steam page, the game will be officially released tomorrow on May 22nd of this year.

City Tales: Medieval Era is a city builder simulation game where players are allowed to build their very own city, unleashing their creativity that, according to the description on Steam, “Break outside a traditional grid.” Players will also be able to plan for their citizens’ needs and aid others on their tales.

The trailer shows off some example builds of the city for the trailer, and first the player will have to sign a deed and create a new name for their city. Players are able to pick between different maps and different areas for the perfect place to build their city. There are also organic zoning tools to help in building their districts.

There will be quests for players to complete and they were earn rewards for completing those quests such as new buildings– in the trailer they showed the Market Square, the Tavern, the Stringing Workshop and the Pharmacy building. Over time, players will be able to upgrade their city and expand it to add more citizens into the city.

The trailer shows off more buildings and the citizens talking amongst themselves or even performing on stage at the theater building. Players will also have other main characters that have higher skills to help aid in their city expansions. The trailer shows the cast of characters that will assist the player with their names, personalities, and backgrounds. Lastly, players will be able to build their city according to their own preferences and add decorations to make the city flourish.
