Some new information has been released about the currently in production musical adventure Chorus. According to Gamespot, Summerfall Studios, the company developing Chorus is almost at the $600,000 funding target. At this time, the Fig.co website states that the company has reached $552,803 of its $600,000 goal. The crowdfunding campaign ends on November 10th, so it is possible that the campaign will achieve 100% completion within the next six days.
Along with the exciting news that Chorus has almost reached its funding goals comes some interesting information regarding romance options in the game. In Chorus, players will have the option to romance any number of characters. The full list is currently unknown but David Gaider confirmed that the game will have two guaranteed romance arcs featuring Apollo and Persephone. If Summerfall Studios funding reaches $650,000, the studio plans to add romance options for both Pan, the God of the Wilds and Freddie. David Gaider stated that, “You don’t have to romance anyone if you don’t want to, but if you do, know that the romance arcs are tied directly into the main story,”. If players romance a specific character, that will create an independent story arc that will be based on that romantic option. If the player fulfills that story, the romance will blossom into a song that represents their relationship.
Summerfall Studios also announced its plans if they reached specific funding goals. At $700,000 the studio intends to add more voiceover and several songs, including a song for each romance. At $725,000, the company will create a documentary that records the development of the game. If the studio funding reaches $750,000 Summerfall will add additional voiceover and David Gaider will play a game of D&D and livestream it. If Summerfall Studios were to reach $900,000 in funding, they will add a full voiceover for the entire game. It is currently unknown what consoles the game will be on or when it will release.
