China was one of the few nations that did not have access to Apex Legends Mobile when the game initially launched. Though the mobile game did release globally in 2022, it never came to China. However, it would seem that a variant will be released for everyone in the nation to enjoy.
A recent tweet uploaded by the Twitter user, TheLeakerBot, showed some promotional work for a mobile game similar to Apex Legends Mobile that would be exclusive to China. The tweet sprouted some speculation of a beta test for the game to run June of 2023 and with a full launch of the title by next year.

Other information uncovered from the tweet is that the mobile game’s title being High Energy Heroes and that it would seem that Tencent are the ones developing the project. However, the company has not made any official announcements of said mobile game. Despite this, internet sleuths have suggested that High Energy Heroes would have most likely been in development since 2021.
TheLeakerBot’s Twitter tweet has generated some hype for those involved in the mobile gaming community. Considering that this news is following not too long after Electronic Arts pulled the plug on the Apex Legends Mobile servers earlier this month, this has given some players hope. However, the lack of official confirmation of High Energy Heroes from either Tencent or Electronic Arts is keeping the crowd skeptical. Although, Electronic Arts did previously partner with Tencent to develop Apex Legends Mobile, so the hype in the mobile gaming community has not completely died down.

In addition, some players have hooked onto the fact that the mobile game has received approval from Chinese authorities. China has a strict regulatory process for gaming, so receiving approval from the authorities is a high piece of evidence that High Energy Heroes may be a real project. Even the YouTuber ImOw uploaded a video discussing all the different aspects of this Chinese variant of Apex Legends Mobile.
As of right now, the mobile game does not have any gameplay footage to confirm what the actual mechanics will look like, but High Energy Heroes does seem to be open for pre-registration for those who reside in China as hinted at by the tweet.
