CD Projekt Red Releases The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine Launch Trailer

Famous for their long, on-going, edgy Polish fantasy series CD Projekt Red, the Witcher series, rock start video game developers at CD Project Red have follow-up to 2015 Game of the Year RPG, Withcer 3,  with highly anticipated Downloadable Content, Blood and Wine.

No stranger to success, the Witcher 3 won multiple awards juxtaposed to high successful sales in the 2015 holiday season for all platforms, and gained itself a ragingly popular fandom. The second in a line of well-received DLC, Blood and Wine marks only another tally in the line of additional content for the award-winning, fantasy game.

Blood and wine, a 30-hour-plus tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.

The new content will debut new characters, new stories, additional narrative from main character–and title character of the game–the Witcher Geralt, 30 hours of brand spanking new gameplay, and 90 new quests–and if you played the original Witcher 3 or any of its predecessor games, you would know that quests are where it’s AT. Quests have been developed for players with a level 34 Geralt in mind, and truly require the heartiest and most experienced of players.

Earlier today, developers at CD Projekt Red release their highly polished, final trailer prepping fans for the upcoming Blood and Wine release on this upcoming May 31st, and will run for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

For the last time become professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia and explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom…

Sadly, as to whether or not there are more Witcher game or a continuation to Geralt’s story on the horizon, developers have definitively shut the book these open questions. Marcin Iwinski, CD Projekt Red’s co-founder, has previously made statement, saying that Blood and Wine is the final chapter in the Geralt narrative:

This is the end. Blood and Wine is the closing and there won’t be any Witcher any time soon–if there ever will be one.

However, if it is more Witcher you are seeking, there just might be a major motion picture in the works. who knows? Otherwise, you can always check out the original Witcher books that started it all!
