CD Projekt Red is seemingly moving development towards the Witcher 4. According to the company’s financial results report, development for Cyberpunk 2077 is reported to have ended.
With the last of the developers off the project, CD Projekt RED is now looking at directing its developers towards other ongoing projects, including the next installment in the Witcher franchise.
Development for Cyberpunk 2077 began to slow down following the release of its only expansion, Phantom Liberty, in September 2023. Prior to the recent financial report, CD Projekt RED had only 17 dedicated developers for Cyberpunk 2077 since this February.
Development has officially ended on Cyberpunk 2077, as now over 400 devs at CD Projekt RED are working on the next Witcher game.

Not much is known about the next Witcher game aka Project Polaris. Development for the project was announced in 2022.
