Cat Clicker, as its name suggests, is a cute niche point-and-click game where you click on as many stock images of cats as you can in each game level. The game, which self-proclaims itself to be the “Ultimate Cat Clicking Experience,” was released today for the PC. Cat Clicker was developed and published by indie game developer Violet Moon.
According to Cat Clicker‘s Steam page, the game’s premise revolves around the numerous cats that appear on your screen, where their souls have been sentenced to purrgatory by an evil deity that takes on the form of a giant floating cat head. This evil deity resides over purrgatory and decides who gets to enter cat heaven, but recently has been unfair with its power and has judged all the cat souls as neither good nor evil. As the player, you have the ability to help these cats enter cat heaven. It is your job to judge these cats and determine their souls as good by clicking on them as they appear on every level. Once you click on enough cats, you will face the evil cat deity and fight for the last battle.
Cat Clicker has six different levels to play and has different locations for each level, such as Grandma’s House, Cat Café, Cat Island, Purrgatory, and more. The game runs on a point system, where you will need to click on as many cats as you can before they disappear to receive points and advance to the next level. However, if you happen to miss a cat, you will end up losing points instead. Additionally, Cat Clicker includes an original soundtrack that consists of three different tracks that play in the background as you click on cats throughout the game.
If you are a cat lover or someone who enjoys niche, point-and-click games, you should check out Cat Clicker, which is available now. You can purr-chase Cat Clicker for $0.99 on Steam.
