Cast Spells & Dash Through Enemies in Action-Packed Dungeon Crawler Wizard of Legend

Starting on Kickstarter in June of 2016, Wizard of Legend has released to the masses with inspirational combat that’s garnering popularity. Made by the 2-man team Contingent99, the game currently sits on top of Steam’s Global Top Sellers list. Per the developer,

Wizard of Legend is a fast paced dungeon crawler with an emphasis on dynamic magical combat. Quick movement and even quicker use of spells will allow you to chain spells together to unleash devastating combinations against your enemies!

From the get-go, Wizard of Legend found interested and ultimately committed fans after meeting their funding goal of $50,000 in little more than month. Contingent99 consists solely of indie game developers Bundy Kim & Dahoon Lee. As most should know, game development is no walk in the park, so what these two have accomplished in the span of three years is nothing short of inspirational.

The pixel art is on point for player characters, locales, NPCs, and enemies. No stage looks the same and the art design down to the brick of a dungeon shows immense care to detail.

Attack animations are beautifully out of control as players are given the option to pick and choose which elements they wish to base their custom wizards on. As the developers state:

Unlock over a hundred unique spells and discover powerful spell combinations and synergies! A wide variety of elemental spells allows you to create a hand best suited to your playstyle. Dive head first into the fray or stand back and let your minions do the work for you, the choice is yours!

In addition, the developers have added a mode that’s now a bit of a rarity in the gaming landscape, LOCAL CO-OP. Invite a buddy over to cast spells and fashionably dash through enemies like this:

Another refreshing point about the deserved success of this title is the developers’ up-to-date dedication of responding to fans about bug fixes and future updates:

Wizard of Legend is currently available for PC on Steam, GOG & the Humble Bundle Store, as well as the big-three consoles, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, for $15.99.
