CAPTURED 2, Releases Today

CAPTURED 2, an indie horror game released today! Made by Puck Redflix, the game explores a haunted apartment with “ever-changing rooms.” The goal, according to Steam, is to “Capture anomalies on camera, survive deadly entities and escape an endless nightmare.” Those interested can head over to Steam to check it out.

CAPTURED 2’s Release Trailer opens with a new announcement about the first person viewer being “Stuck in a loop,” while a television screen shines in the midst of darkness. Someone with a torchlight walks through a hallway of a deceptively normal looking apartment while the narrator echoes that “If your house feels unfamiliar, you may be stuck in a loop.” As the sentence finishes, the first person player enters a room with a glowing red clock.

The trailer switches to only the TV, as it explains “Each time you enter a new loop, there are small changes” with visuals of a person leaving a room where there was an upright fridge and returning to see the fridge placed sideways. The trailer shows ants all over a door, and a camera sign appears over the door. A white door opens to field full of  white doors and the left side of the trailer, states “ROOM: OFFICE”, “ANOMALY: UNSELECTED,” With the camera sign still on, there’s the option to “SELECT.” Another white door opens to a normal hallway before a “WARNING” sign flashes across the screen. A montage of multiple geometric and non geometric shapes, a table, and multiple doors plays before fading to black.

The trailer goes through some of the mechanics of the game while touring through various “ANOM” filled rooms, with different rooms affecting the “SANITY” meter of the player. The trailer  also explores the camera skill, as when the camera snaps an item, the player can select which kind of anomaly is in the room.  While this exploration continues,  a message from the playable characters’ dad narrates, where he informs her that “Kids seem to forget things” in the game and that her family’s waiting for her to “get back.” The playable character promises audibly  “I’ll find a way back, Dad.” Then “YOU ARE NOT ALONE” appears on a black screen. Multiple monsters appear in the hallway, a black and white montage of shapes and things play, before one of the monsters follows her down a hallway, and opens a locked door.
