Campaign Trailers for Battlefield 1 Released

EA released a teaser trailer for the single-player campaign for the upcoming Battlefield 1 game on May 6. Starting today, September 27, players will be able to see the full trailer.

The teaser trailer starts out with a man bludgeoning a person on the top of the head of another person. You then see a horseman riding his horse with a sword in the air like someone giving a battle cry. A soldier is then firing a weapon from above followed by the same soldier bludgeoning another person on top of the head. There is then a plane battle ending with one of the planes flying into a building, bursting into flames. Soldiers on horse back and in tanks are seen running into each other followed by more battle scenes taking place on land, air and sea.

The official trailer released today looks more of the same, with some differences that weren’t a part of the teaser trailer.

The main change in the official trailer from the teaser trailer is the addition of a monologue, which could be seen as a pre-battle speech to fire up the troops. You also see multiple soldiers participating in fist fights and a dialogue between two characters: one asking to keep him alive during the battle and the other person guaranteeing it.

More tanks and airplane battles are seen, as well as an airplane battle being fought in a beautiful, snowy mountain range.

Lead developer Daniel Berlin said that the game was to spotlight less known aspects of WW1:

When we set out on this game, we wanted to depict not just the common view of what the war was like. We wanted to challenge some preconceptions. We want to delve into some of the unknowns of WW1.

Battlefield 1 is set for release on October 21 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. EA/Origin Access members can play on October 13 and gamers who preordered the Early Enlist edition can play the game on October 18.

No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
